What was once a traffic lane on #Coventry’s ring road now reduces severance and improves safety for people cycling. Great to see a pop up scheme made permanent, made possible with ATF funding. https://t.co/eKyg0CNaAJ

Just been away after leaving my bike for 1 night at @SouthernRailUK's supposedly secure cycle store at #Brighton to find someone tried to steal my bike by anglegrinding through its rear lock damaging the frame @sussex_police https://t.co/vS ... [more]

These are not ghost bikes, just an installation of some kind.

Map of cycling routes around Homorod

The roads and the drainage have been improved, but a shared-use path would really help - Rupea and Homorod aren't far apart.

A shared-use path of less than a kilometre would provide a safe link between Homorod and Rupea

  • Icon 192309 20mph along Farnborough Road. Since the HGV ban on upper ale Road, far more come down too fast, and children at all the schools are at risk.
  • Icon 192307 Allow contraflow shared used cycling on the footway across the bridge so NCN6 users do not have to cross the main road twice.
  • Icon 192306 Busy narrow road needs traffic calming to slow cars down to help people on cycles get safely to the station.
  • Icon 192305 Speeding cars ignore the smiley face signs. Needs proper speed cameras on this road.
  • Icon 192304 Make the pavement along this road into shared use as the road is very busy with cars going to the retail park.
  • Icon 192303 Busway which is also a cycle route simply ends here on a busy road with no safe continuation. Off road route to the Parkway station needed as a minimum.
  • Icon 192302 Toucan crossing here should be the official cycle route, not the route currently signed.
  • Icon 192301 Toucan crossing here should be the official cycle route, not the route currently signed.
  • Icon 192300 Cycle route here is daft. The isgned route makes you corss busy roads with no lights twice when there is a toucan crossing 50m up the road!
  • Icon 192299 Signs here appear to predate the toucan crossings so you are signed to go south along the B579 and then pass under the railway via a non-existant route. The pavement on the north side of the road is only just wide enough for one bike. Road under the bridge should be reduced to one lane with traffic light control to prioritise pedestrians.
  • Icon 192298 Needs an off road cycle path from NCN6 to the A505 junction.
  • Icon 192297 Redesign junction to get cars on Vandyke Road to keep to the speed limit. Horribly fast driving by some people.
